City Planning Commission and Rochester Environmental Commission Meeting Dates Announced to Review New Zoning Code and Map Proposed to Align with the Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2019.
The City Planning Commission will host two informational meetings:
- Dates: Monday, June 8th and Wednesday, June 10th
- Location: Rochester City Hall, 30 Church Street. Pre-Meeting in Room 208A and Informational Meeting in City Council Chambers
- Time: Pre-Meeting begins at 5:30pm and Informational Meeting begins at 6pm
Attendees will be able to hear a presentation from City Staff, which will be followed by the City Planning Commission inviting attendees to offer public input. Of note, the City Staff’s presentation will be the same for both evenings so that members of the public do not need to attend both meetings.
Public input can occur in 3 ways:
- Attending a meeting and offering it orally
- Submitting written comments to PlanningCommission@CityofRochester.Gov in advance of either meeting
- Submitting written comments and mailing them via USPS to:

Please note that written feedback must be received by Friday, June 5th at 4pm for consideration at the June 8th meeting or by Tuesday, June 9th at 4pm for the June 10th meeting. Following the meetings, the City Planning Commission will offer a recommendation on the ZAP Zoning Code and Map.
Additionally, the Rochester Environmental Commission will review and offer a recommendation on the environmental impact review of the ZAP Zoning Code and Map at their regularly scheduled June 1st meeting. While the meeting is open to the public, public testimony and feedback will not be collected. The meeting will begin at 5:30pm at Rochester City Hall, 30 Church Street, Room 223B.
Following the recommendations outlined above, the project will be referred to the Rochester City Council for review and adoption.
