The final draft Zoning Code and Map are available for public review. The documents also include the Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement (FGEIS), which summarizes and responds to all substantive comments received by the City as part of the public review and comment period for the Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement (“DGEIS”) which was released to the public for review and comment on September 20, 2023. The release of these documents move the proposal one step closer to City Council review and consideration.
Public comment will be accepted at upcoming City Planning Commission meetings, dates to be announced. Please sign up on the website, www.CityOfRochester.gov/ZAP, for updates to be notified when the meetings are scheduled.
The City is releasing these documents in order to give ample time to residents and stakeholders to review the documents in advance of upcoming City Planning Commission meetings.
The City of Rochester is proposing Short-Term Rental regulations separately with the intent of conducting additional review on the proposal, while advancing them at the same time as the Code and Map.
The Code and Map reflect the response to over 1,000 comments received during the last open comment period.
