We want to hear from you before we move forward with writing specific sections of the new Zoning Code. A special meeting of the City Planning Commission will be held virtually on June 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. during which you can offer comments on:
- The March 31, 2021 Status Report to the City Planning Commission, which can be reviewed here: https://rochesterzap.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Report-to-CPC-March-2021-final.pdf;
- Staff discussions with the City Planning Commission in April and May. Recordings of the three meetings can be viewed here: 04_Documents & Presentations – Rochester Zoning Alignment Project (rochesterzap.com);
- Issues or topics that you would like the new Zoning Code to address; and
- Regulations in the current Zoning Code that you think are not working or could be improved.
If you are unable to attend this meeting, you can submit written comments here: 03_Contact – Rochester Zoning Alignment Project (rochesterzap.com).
This is not the first time that community members have had a chance to weigh in on the new Zoning Code, nor is it the last. Draft Zoning Maps and Draft Code sections will be presented later this year during a series of in-person meetings that will be conducted throughout the city.
